While immersing myself in the rich culture of Guatemala, I had the wonderful opportunity to work with a team at CONSTRU CASA to contribute my skills and create a meaningful impact. I can really see how passionate this organization is, not only in building and designing new spaces for people to live, play and grow, but for building stronger communities in Guatemala and with their volunteers!

It was an experience I will forever remember and cherish.

Never thought: a dream comes true in Guatemala. A house for a family, built with passion as a volunteer. The completion gives energy to collect more money.

Volunteering with CONSTRU CASA was a beautiful experience. I was able to connect with everyone besides my OSU group. The family, the workers, the community, in short a sweetheart are the Guatemalans. CONSTRU CASA instructed us in such a way that I felt part of the community.

As a volunteer I become as happy and grateful as the family we are building a house for!

Going on a trip with a bunch of strangers was the best experience I've ever had. By the end of the trip we were all very close and had so many inside jokes. We were able to build a house for a young couple to start their family. I want to continue advocating for people without homes. Homelessness is a huge problem in the United States and there are ways we can help and give back. 10/10 experience!
