A Safe Roof for the Santos Rosales Family
In the village of Yalú lives the Santos Rosales family.
Santos, a 36 year old farmer, and María Juana, 35, do everything they can for their children: Andrés, now eighteen and working with his father; Gustavo, seventeen, trying to stay in school; Luis Ángel, thirteen, full of dreams; and little Heidy Sarai, only two years old.
But they all share the same reality: their roof no longer protects them.
The rusted tin sheets are full of holes. When it rains, water falls directly onto their beds. Clothes and school notebooks stay damp for days. The dirt floor turns to mud, and cold air fills the house as if it belonged there.
Every storm brings fear.
Every night is cold and uncomfortable.
Every day begins with the question: How much longer can we live like this?
They’ve tried everything plastic sheets, buckets, quick fixes but nothing replaces a safe, dignified roof.
This Giving Tuesday, we can rewrite their story
For the first time, the Santos Rosales family has a real chance to receive something they’ve never known:
A roof that actually protects them. Right now, every rainstorm enters their home. Every night is cold.
Every morning begins with soaked beds, damp clothes, and worry.
A safe roof isn’t a luxury. It’s the difference between fear and peace between surviving and finally living.
Our goal is simple and urgent: $3,000 to rebuild their roof from the ground up.
Because:
No child should fall asleep listening to water dripping on their bed.
No mother should pray that the rain doesn’t come.
No father should watch his home collapse while trying to hold his family together.
This Giving Tuesday, you can change their story.
