Housing Program

Safe, Dignified Homes for Families in Need

Our housing program provides durable homes that improve health, safety, stability, and long-term well-being.

The Housing Gap in Guatemala

Thousands of families in Guatemala live in unsafe and unhealthy homes made of dirt floors, deteriorated walls, and leaking roofs. These living conditions contribute to respiratory disease, gastrointestinal infections, poor sleep, stress, and limited opportunities for children.

Over 1.8 million households lack safe
durable housing, forcing families to live in overcrowded and fragile structures.
Children struggle to sleep
or study in homes made of scrap metal, mud, or rotten wood.

A Dignified Home Changes Everything

Constru Casa builds high-quality, permanent homes using reinforced concrete foundations, block walls, solid roofs, and safe, ventilated spaces. Our houses improve health, safety, privacy, and resilience — creating long-term impact for families and communities.

How We Build Homes Together

1. Family Selection
2. Partnership Model
3. Volunteer Engagement

Through our partnerships, we identify families living in vulnerable conditions who meet our selection criteria.

We work hand-in-hand with local organizations, churches, and foundations.

Volunteer groups donatte and help in the construction process alongside masons and community members.

4. Family Participation
5. Construction Process
6. Follow-up Program (4 years)

Families contribute with unskilled labor and transporting materials.

Our trained masons lead the construction, ensuring quality and safety.

Families receive training in hygiene, home care, health, and financial education to build long-term resilience.
