COMMUNITY BUILDINGS
Stronger communities start with strong shared spaces.
Building Hope for Communities
In many communities across Guatemala, access to safe and functional community spaces is extremely limited. Schools, clinics, and community centers often operate in deteriorated structures that put children and families at risk.
Through our Community Buildings Program, we construct high-quality, durable spaces that support education, health, and community development. These buildings strengthen entire communities not just individual families.
What We Build
We design and construct:
Schools and classrooms
Safe, well-ventilated spaces that improve learning conditions.Clinics and health posts
Clean environments for essential medical care.Community centers
Spaces for meetings, training, nutrition programs, and workshops.Sanitation facilities (latrines & bathrooms)
Essential for hygiene and disease prevention.Kitchens and dining areas
For school meal programs and community nutrition initiatives.
How It Works
The buildings improve the quality of life for hundreds of people at once, creating change that lasts for generations.
Step 1 — Community Identification
Step 2 — Construction with Local Labor
Local leaders and partner organizations identify urgent infrastructure needs.
Our team builds durable structures using high-quality materials while providing jobs to local workers.
Step 3 — Long-Term Use & Impact
Communities take ownership of the building, and it becomes a long-term resource for education, health, and development.
Our community buildings have helped:
- Increase school attendance by providing safe learning environments.
- Improve health outcomes through clean and accessible clinics.
- Reduce overcrowding in classrooms.
- Support nutrition programs for children and families.
- Create spaces where communities can meet, organize, and grow together.
From a deteriorated classroom to a apace where children can learn
Before: For years, the students of Santa María attended classes in a deteriorated structure made of rusted metal sheets and unstable wooden walls. On rainy days, water entered through the roof, books were ruined, and lessons were often interrupted.
Community Construction
Today, the community has a new, solid, and well-ventilated classroom built by Constru Casa. The space is bright, clean, and safe, allowing children to learn without disruptions. Teachers now have the environment they need to support their students, attendance has improved, and families feel proud knowing their children finally have a classroom that protects their health and inspires their future.
A strong building has given this community a renewed sense of dignity, opportunity, and hope.
